Purchasing a dress for your wedding is a big deal. The average amount of money spent on a wedding dress is $1200. What an expense! There are so many great stores out there that now offer wedding dresses for A LOT less (Target, J.Crew, etc)! If you can spend less on a dress, just think about where that saved money could go…maybe to a better honeymoon?! Here are some of my favorite picks for inexpensive wedding dresses:

Surprisingly, J. Crew also offers some beautiful gowns at an amazing price. Their dresses and beautiful and sophisticated. Check out this romantic Greek goddess look for only $595! This dress would be perfect for a nautical themed wedding, so something that is a bit more casual.
Etsy is another great option for finding beautiful and one-of-a-kind wedding dresses. Many dresses are made specifically for you by the shop owners and many times you can specify if you would like them to add details that you wanted like if there is a celebrity’s gown or designer dress you love but is not in the budget, many times the shop owner will make it for you, but for much less! Check out this dress that is amazingly beautiful, custom-made and is only $939 on Etsy by GraveLovesLace who is out of Australia. I absolutely adore the flowers on the bodice!
Now if you’re looking to have a more casual wedding, like something on the beach, I adore this dress I found on Etsy by MyWeddingGarment. It has a sweetheart neckline and is simple and chic. The cost is only $139, you can’t beat that! I might even order this for my wedding…
Now if you have a designer gown in mind that you have to have, no question about it, but just can’t afford it. A great option may be purchasing the dress used from a bride who has already worn it and is selling it. The perfect website for this is called Oncewed.com. One of my favorite dresses of all time is the Jenny Peckham Aspen gown (worn by Kate Middleton in teal) and I always thought it would be the perfect wedding dress. The dress typically sells for $5500, but if bought used on OnceWed.com, I found one for $3500 which is a 36% savings!
